Join Us for a Virtual Happy Hour
Learn how to recreate a painting during our step-by-step Virtual Happy Hour class. Create an acrylic painting from the comfort of your own home, with other artists in a virtual setting! Cheers.
In this 1.5 hour class an Art Instructor will assist you step-by-step in creating your very own masterpiece. This casual online class is the perfect time to uncork some wine and dive deep into your creative side. Trust us, your walls will thank you!
In this Virtual Happy Hour class you will learn:
- Basic materials used for acrylic painting
- Essential painting techniques
- How to start and complete a masterpiece
- Tips and skills for future paintings
Our Virtual Happy Hour classes are beginner friendly. No experience necessary!
Materials are not included and must be purchased/gathered ahead of time. You’ll likely have some supplies at home and can conveniently order curb-side pick-up from your local craft store. See the Suggested Supplies for more information.
This is how our Virtual Happy Hour works:
After you purchase your ticket, you will receive an email with a custom URL link to join via Zoom. Zoom is free and easy to use on any device – smartphone, tablet or laptop. We’ll also provide Zoom Instructions to assist you if you have not used this platform before.
Make sure to login 10 minutes before the Virtual Happy Hour starts to avoid technical difficulties that may delay you. You have the option to use video and audio to participate. It’s nice to enable video so we can all see each other’s faces and paintings!
- Stretched Cotton Canvas, Canvas Board, or Paper (preferably 11×14″, 12×16″, or 16×20″); Instructor will teach on 16×20″ Canvas
- Acrylic Paints (see class page for specific colors)
- Paint Palette/Plate
- Paint Brushes (preferably 1″ large flat brush, 1/4-1/2″ medium flat brush, small detail brush)
- Water Cup (1/2 Full)
- Napkins or Paper Towels
- Tablecloth, Newspaper, Butcher Paper, Wrapping Paper, Etc. (something to protect your work area)
- Apron or Paint Shirt
- Wine or Drink
Note About Supplies
Suggested supplies are just that – a suggestion! Use whatever you have at home. Change the colors, improvise, and have fun.
Step 1 – Register for a class
Check out the Virtual Class Calendar and select a date and time that works for you. Simply complete the required fields and add class details to your personal calendar. Advanced registration is required and space is limited.
Step 2 – Gather Supplies
After registering for the class, you’ll receive a supply list. Look around as you may have things you can use from home. Shop online and have supplies shipped or arrange for curbside pick-up at your local craft store.
Step 3 – join the fun
It’s time for the Virtual Happy Hour! Setup your work space and supplies. Grab a drink and login to the class/webinar. You have the option to turn on your video and audio to participate in the class. We can’t wait to meet you and look forward to seeing your masterpiece. Cheers!
