SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Kickin’ Kawasaki 5K

A MESSAGE FROM MELISSA TRINKL, FOUNDER

I’ve partnered with the Kawasaki Kids Foundation to organize a 5K. My daughter, Charlie Rose (21 months old), was diagnosed with this incredibly rare disease (see our story below) and I am looking to bring awareness to our community.  I’m in need of sponsors and race-day vendors. Of course, Vino and Canvas will be a part of this event! So I’m first reaching out to all of our partners and corporate clients we’ve had over the years. Please consider sponsoring the event! There are many sponsorship levels to choose from. Can’t sponsor? Sponsor referrals are welcome too.

October 5 is race day for Charlie Rose’s Kickin’ Kawasaki 5k – Tempe, AZ at Kiwanis Community Park. Attached you will find sponsorship opportunity information. Contact me if you’d like to be a race-day sponsor or have referrals.

Thank you for your consideration in this cause! As a business owner/manager, I know you have many requests but I’d love to have you as a part of this event. It’s going to be a great day.

Our story…
Kawasaki Disease is the #1 cause of Pediatric Heart Disease in the United States. Charlie Rose was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease in February of 2019. We were incredibly fortunate to have caught this disease early and are forever grateful to the amazing team of professionals at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. However, our daughter is quite rare in the fact that she didn’t respond to the first two rounds of treatment and different measures had to be implemented. A three-day intensive steroid treatment is what finally broke her 104+ temperature and rapid heartbeat of over 200bpm. We spent a total of eight emotionally exhausting days in the hospital with many unknowns. As a family, we thought we had endured the worst until later finding that Charlie had a medium sized aneurysm and additional dilation in her heart. Currently, we have weekly appointments as we closely monitor her health and know we have a lifetime of follow-ups. We pray that things quickly normalize but know we are at risk. Unfortunately, children are being misdiagnosed and/or our enduring a lifetime of heart disease. Through the Kawasaki Kids Foundation, we hope to bring awareness, education, and support to our community by sharing Charlie Rose’s, our Incredi-Girl’s, story. No child should have heart disease.
